Overview
Machu Picchu 2 Days is an excellent option for travelers who want to enjoy Machu Picchu at a relaxed pace, without waking up too early. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful Andean landscapes and picturesque towns throughout the Sacred Valley.
Upon arrival in the town of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes), you can relax in its famous hot springs, located about a 10-minute walk from the town. These thermo-medicinal waters, which emerge from sulfur-rich rocks at different temperatures, are known for their therapeutic benefits, such as relieving rheumatism, reducing stress and toxins, improving metabolism, and helping prevent high blood pressure. The maximum water temperature is 46°C, and the hot springs are open until 8:00 p.m.
Before or after your visit, you may also explore the Allcamayo waterfall, a beautiful 30-meter-high cascade. Along the trail, you can see smaller waterfalls and observe the rich diversity of local flora and fauna.
On the second day, enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu, where you will gain a deeper understanding of the Inca civilization and the Spanish conquest. Day 1
Day 01: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes Town
In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel or hostel in Cusco at 7:50 a.m. in our comfortable minivan and transfer you to the town of Ollantaytambo.
Once there, board the train to Aguas Calientes on the Inca Rail – Voyager Service, departing at 11:15 a.m. During the journey, enjoy scenic views along the Urubamba River, with stunning landscapes and snow-capped Andean peaks.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our representative will be waiting to transfer you to your 2-star category hotel. After check-in, you will have the rest of the day free at leisure.
During your free time, you may enjoy lunch on your own (not included) and visit the city’s thermo-medicinal hot springs, or explore the Alcamayo waterfall, a short walk from town.
Later in the evening, around 7:00 p.m., our tour guide will meet you at your hotel to provide a briefing and coordinate the itinerary for the following day.
Day 2
Day 02: Machu Picchu Guided Tour – Return to Cusco
This is one of the most anticipated days of your trip to Peru.
Early in the morning, enjoy a scenic 25-minute bus ride up to the main entrance of the Machu Picchu Citadel. Upon arrival, your professional tour guide will meet you and assist you through the security control.
At the entrance, your passport and Machu Picchu entrance ticket will be verified by local authorities.
As you enter the citadel, witness the golden rays of the rising sun illuminating the stone walls of Machu Picchu, while the morning clouds slowly unveil this breathtaking wonder.
Next, begin the guided tour with a brief introduction to the Inca civilization. During the visit, explore the most important areas of Machu Picchu, including Inca temples, royal quarters, and the Main Plaza.
After the guided tour, enjoy free time to admire the panoramic views of the citadel. If you have booked the Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain, your guide will direct you to the corresponding trailhead.
Once you are ready to leave, take the 25-minute bus ride back down to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch.
Later in the evening, board the return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our representative will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco, marking the end of an unforgettable experience.

If you like to apply for the student price you need to comply with the next requirements Peruvian regulation for students. If you are a student, you need to send us a copy or picture of both side of your STUDENT CARD also a picture or photo of your PASSPORT in order to verify, to get discount.
The student card must be an original student ID gives from the university in PVC material, and it must have the next requirements printed on it: University information, personal student information, student picture, and expiration date valid only for one year, it year must coincide with the year that student visit Machu Picchu, the discount until 25 years old. ISIC cards are not valid for the discount.
