Day 01: Cusco – ATVs Base Camp – Rainbow Montain Guided Tour – Return to Cusco

We offer two departure times for our ATV tour to Rainbow Mountain.

Early Departure – 4:30 a.m.
Perfect for travelers who want to witness the sunrise over the Andes and be among the first to arrive at Rainbow Mountain. Enjoy peaceful landscapes, crisp morning air, and the best chance for crowd-free photos.

Mid-Morning Departure – 8:30 a.m.
A more relaxed option for those who prefer extra rest. Thanks to our ATV route, you’ll still arrive at the viewpoint ahead of traditional hikers, with fewer people around and the same breathtaking views.

Tour Itinerary:

First, we pick you up from your hotel at either departure time, and begin a two-hour drive to Cusipata, a small village where we will stop for breakfast (approximately 40 minutes).

Next, we continue for about one more hour by transport until we reach the base camp, where the ATVs are located. Upon arrival, everyone will receive a short 10-minute driving instruction session and safety gear, including helmets.

Then, the ATV ascent begins, taking approximately 30 minutes to reach the top of the mountain. From there, it’s just a short 5-minute walk to the Rainbow Mountain viewpoint. You will have about one hour (or slightly more, depending on weather conditions) to explore, enjoy the scenery, and take amazing photos.

After the visit, we return to the base camp on our ATVs, and then take our transport back to Cusipata for a local buffet lunch.

Finally, we continue with a two-hour drive back to Cusco, where the tour concludes at the Main Square (Plaza de Armas).
