Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime as you head toward Machu Picchu through the edge of the Peruvian jungle. Begin your descent from nearly 4,000 meters above sea level, riding a bike along thrilling mountain roads. Challenge the rapids with white-water rafting, soar above stunning landscapes and a breathtaking river on a zip line, and trek through the lush Amazon rainforest, where you’ll enjoy a rich variety of wildlife, colorful flora, beautiful scenery, and diverse microclimates.

Day 1

Day 01: Cusco – Biking – Rafting – Santa Maria

Our adventure begins with the pick up from the hotel at 7:30 am. approx. to then head towards the sacred valley, passing beautiful towns such as Chinchero, Ollantaytambo, landscapes and beautiful snow-capped mountains, which we will delight in with its beauty.

During the tour we will have the opportunity to appreciate and feel different microclimates, and enjoy Abra Málaga (4300 m.a.s.l.). which will be the highest point of our adventure. From this place of the Abra de Málaga or San Luis (depending on the weather condition) we will start with our first adrenaline adventure that will be the bicycles, where we will begin our descent for approximately 3 hours (31.100 miles down hill roughly) until we reach the small but very important archaeological center of Wamanmarca, Along the way we will see a diverse landscape of mountains, microclimates and tropical jungle. Once in Waman Marca, a brief stop of 15 minutes, to appreciate its architectural beauty. Later we continue with our adventure until we reach our ECO TERRA LODGE for lunch in Santa María (1,210 m.a.s.l.).

Around 2:00 pm our rafting adventure will begin on the Urubamba River (Rafting), where the rapids vary in different levels or rapids II to IV. At the end, return to the hostel to enjoy a refreshing natural bath and then enjoy our dinner.

Day 2

Day 02: Santa Maria – Santa Teresa – Cocalmayo Hot Spring

Breakfast 6:30 a.m. This day we will take a walk of approximately 5 hours, where we will have the opportunity to be in contact with the tropical jungle, climbing small mountains, ravines, delight ourselves with impressive views of tropical valleys, crossing rivers and we will also find on the route a great variety of local flora and fauna, medicinal plants that locals use to cure a variety of diseases, exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple, papaya, avocado, coffee and coca leaf plantations, considered sacred to this day.

During the journey we will have the opportunity to walk a section of the original Inca trail (1,758 m.a.s.l.), which belonged to one of the four important roads of ancient Peru, the Antisuyo (Road to the Peruvian jungle), you can also appreciate the snow-capped Salkantay (6,270 m.a.s.l.)

Lunch at a local family restaurant, then we continue the walk to Santa Teresa to enjoy and relaxing its hot spring of Cocalmayo

Dinner and rest or visit a local bar for sharing some local drinks!

Day 3

Day 03: Santa Teresa – Zipline – Aguas Calientes Town

In the morning you will get the experience of the Zipline flying over the river at about 150 meters high. After breakfast we will take our transportation to Hidroelectrica train station where you get your lunch.

Afterwards a hiking of 3 hours following the train rail (10 km), until reaching the town of Machu Picchu.

OPTIONAL ACCORDING TO AVAILABILITY: You could also take the train service from Hidroelectrica to the town of Machupicchu instead of the walk ($ 31.00), all this option will have to be previously organized with our guide that same day.

Once in Machu Picchu, we will settle in our hostel and then we will enjoy our dinner.

Day 4

Day 04: Machu Picchu – Hidroeléctrica – Cusco.

We get up very early at 4:00 am to have breakfast and then we will prepare for an ascent to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu of approximately one hour.

OOTIONAL: You could buy bus tickets to go up ($ 12.00) instead of walking, prior coordination with our guide.

Then we enter Machu Picchu at 6:00 am, and our tour begins between 2 to 2 and a half hours approximately, where we will visit very important places of Machu Picchu, such as the main square, the temple of the sun, the intihuatana, the agricultural terraces, the temple of the three windows, among other places.

At the end of the visit to Machu Picchu, a one-hour descent to connect the return path to Hidroeléctrica (2 and a half hours walk approx.) to be able to take our transport back to the city of Cusco, arriving approx. 9:30 p.m. (Main Square)

OPTIONAL:

If you want to climb the Wayna Picchu mountain, it is required to buy another ticket for the second time of Machu Picchu + Waynapicchu Mountain ($ 55.00), because the circuits for the visit within MachuPicchu were modified from this year 2022, to avoid crowds and infections according to the norms of the Ministry of Culture, it is also highly recommended in this option, to buy a return train ticket, in this case from Machu Picchu to Ollantaytambo ($ 72.00), otherwise you will not have enough time to get to Hidroelectrica and get on our transport back to Cusco, because to go up, down and more the time of visiting the top of the Waynapicchu mountain, it will take at least 3 hours.

In this option we will take care of organizing your return transportation from Ollantaytambo to the city of Cusco.
