Machu Picchu Adventurous and Sacred Valley of the Incas 02 Days Tour (01 Hotel Night in Aguas Calientes)

Overview

Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas is an itinerary that combines an adventure inside the Sacred Valley on the first day where you can visit the archaeological sites of Chinchero, Moray, Salineras, a delicious buffet lunch in Urubamba and the fortress of Ollantaytambo as the last place, to then take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, and the next day visit our seventh world wonder that is Machu Picchu.

Day 1

Day 01: The Sacred Valley of the Incas – Aguas Calientes

The Sacred Valley begins with the pick up from your hotel at 6:30 am. in our mini van transport, where we will first visit the artisanal textile center of Chinchero to appreciate how the alpaca wool dyeing process is carried out, as well as the process of weaving and spinning sweaters, chullos, etc. All these activities are carried out by hand by local artisan women.

Later the visit to the archaeological center of Chinchero.

Then, we will go to the archaeological center of Moray, where we will be able to observe the different agricultural terraces, built with great wisdom and intelligence by our Inca engineers. To finish our tour in the sacred valley, we will visit the Salineras or the salt mines, where you can see more than 3,000 thousand saltwater wells.

At present, salt continues to be the main source of income for the population of Maras.

At the end of the tour, we will continue our journey to reach the town of Urubamba to enjoy our authentic buffet lunch at our “PUKAPUNKU” restaurant.

Later, we will continue with our visit to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo (Place of battle against the Spanish, as well as administrative and religious)

At the end of the Ollantaytambo tour, our guide will show you the way to go to the train station on your own to go to Aguas Calientes, which is about a 7-minute walk away, since we will continue the return trip to Cusco.
Once at the station you will have time to relax and rest in the train office, then the same train staff will be in charge of boarding the train, leaving at 15:37 pm. or 16:36 p.m. depending on schedule availability.

Later arrival in the town of Aguas Calientes, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to our 3 – star hotel, and at night, prior coordination, our guide will visit you at the hotel to provide you with information and respective coordination on the visit to Machu Picchu the following day.

Day 2

Day 02: Machu Picchu – Cusco

In the morning you will take the bus on your own to go up to Machu Picchu, and our guide will be waiting for you at the entrance of Machu Picchu, then a guided tour of approximately 2 to 2 and a half hours, where you will visit the most important places of Machu Picchu, such as the main square, the inti huatana, the royal precincts, the temple of the three windows, the agricultural sector, the urban sector, etc.

After the visit to Machupicchu, you will take again on your own the bus back to Aguas Calientes. Once in the town, you can enjoy your own lunch (Not Includes), then you will board the return train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo at 15:20 pm. or 16:22 pm. depending on schedule availability.

Optional train departure at 19:00 p.m. in case you want to enjoy the thermo-medicinal waters, located about ten minutes from the town of Aguas Calientes.

After you arriving at the train station in Ollantaytambo, our transport to take you back to Cusco, ending the service near the main square for your dinner (No Includes)
